 In This Article we are going to see Classification of boilers and Types boilers.

 

The Boiler equipment is composed of two parts ; the boiler body and auxiliary equipment. And he boiler contains Combustion system , Automatic control system , Stream supply system , Exhaust system , water supply system and it contains many parts. Boiler mainly classified into seven types and the seven types of boilers subdivided into many categories. Lets see one by one.

  

Boiler Types

1^stclassified by purpose there are divided into four categories  :

1. Industrial boilers ,
2. Power station boilers ,
3. Marine boiler ,
4. Locomotive boiler

 

2^ndclassified by fuel and energy used there are divided into Five categories  :

1. Coal fired boiler ,
2. oil boiler ,
3. gas fired boiler ,
4. biomass energy boiler ,
5. waste heat boiler

3^rdclassified by working pressure there are divided into seven categories:

1. Atmospheric pressure hot water boiler ,
2. Low pressure boilers ,
3. Medium pressure boiler ,
4. High pressure boiler ,
5. Ultra high pressure boiler ,
6. Subcritical boiler ,
7. Subcritical and ultra subcritical boiler ,

 

4^thclassified by circulation method there are divided into three categories:

1. Natural circulation boiler ,
2. Forced circulation boiler ,
3. Once through boiler.

 

5^thclassified by boiler structure there are divided into two categories:

1. Fire tube boilers ,
2. Water tube boilers ,

 

6^thclassified by boiler layout there are divided into three categories:

1. Horizontal boiler ,
2. Vertical boilers ,
3. Inclined boilers ,

 

7^thclassified by boiler delivery form there are divided into three categories:

1. Quick installed boiler ,
2. Assembled boiler ,
3. Bulk boilers.
